Dave has a particular interest and expertise in men’s mental health, establishing and facilitating mental health programs specifically for men.
Dave received he Doctorate in clinical psychology from Deakin University. He works with a range of high prevalence issues, such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment- and stress-related issues. Dave also works with couples experiencing conflict and relationship issues. He utilises a strong evidence based approach delivered in a dynamic and down to earth manner. His style draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Positive Psychology. He also has training in Gottman Couples Therapy. Dave is also involved in teaching coaching and counselling at Deakin University, having received awards in this area, and has presented his research findings at an international level.
