David has a particular interest and expertise in men’s health, establishing and facilitating mental health programs specifically for men.
He has been trained to a doctoral level in clinical psychology and is a fully registered psychologist. He works with a range of high prevalence issues, such as depression, anxiety, adjustment and stress related issues, utilising a strong evidence based approach delivered in a dynamic and down to earth manner. His style draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Positive Psychology. David is also involved in teaching coaching and counselling at Deakin University, having received awards in this area, and has presented his research findings at an international level.
